AIR FORCE VILLAGE ANNOUNCES SITTERLE HOMES AS BUILDER FOR RANCH HOME EXPANSION

Phase One of $145 Million of Expansion Projects Includes Construction of First 18 Homes at Air Force Village II

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS: Today's active adults are seeking more options when it comes to housing in their retirement years. With that in mind, leadership at Air Force Village has planned for a number of expansion projects on their two San Antonio campuses. In gearing up for the first phase, Air Force Village has announced San Antonio-based Sitterle Homes as the builder of choice for The Gardens at Air Force Village, a new garden-style Ranch Home community, on its campus located just west of Loop 1604.

"Sitterle Homes is a perfect fit for this phase of our expansion," said Gary Alkire, Major General USAF, Ret., president and CEO of Air Force Villages. "Their reputation in residential housing and experience in developing active adult communities gives us complete faith that we're offering garden-style homes with the appeal today's retired military officers are demanding."

Throughout Sitterle Homes' 45-year history, the company, a leader in quality homebuilding, has strived to provide the highest level of customer service and design innovation, pioneering garden home building in San Antonio by designing beautiful and spacious garden homes tailored to the active adult lifestyle.

In August, work will begin on construction of the first 18 of 45 Ranch Homes. This community will be highlighted by three fully furnished model homes.

"Our experience in building active adult communities is a natural fit for our work with Air Force Village," said Frank J. Sitterle, Jr., president of Sitterle Homes. "Both Jeff Buell and I believe it's an honor to be part of this expansion. Both of our families have had involvement in some of our military's many successes."

The garden-style Ranch Homes will offer a variety of floor plans that include two bedrooms, two- to two-and-a-half baths, a study and two-car garages with an array of beautiful options, so residents can personalize their homes to their particular lifestyles. Entertainer and Gourmet kitchens, as well as Spa and Luxury Master Bath packages, will be available. The designs will feature high ceilings to add natural light and volume, art niches and other decorative accents. They will range in size from 1,679 to 2,285 square feet. Residents of the Ranch Homes will have full access to all the services and amenities at Air Force Village II.

"We want to offer our residents more choices when it comes to maintenance-free living," added Alkire. "Our strategic plan gives our campuses more than a facelift; it takes our communities to the next level for not only housing, but all the services our residents enjoy."

Other expansion projects at Air Force Village will include the construction of Hill Residences on the Air Force Village I campus as well as two new long term nursing care residences known as Patriots Place and The Mission. Plans also include the creation of amenity rich Town Centers at Air Force Village I and Air Force Village II that includes mixes of activity and dining spaces.
